Awesome little scanner. Scans barcodes like it says. Has internal battery which is a plus. Instructions are vague and don't say how to turn the scanner OFF. However it will turn itself off after a few minutes. Unfortunately I'm returning it because the only reason I bought it was to use it at work (walmart) but it did not work.Scans fine, battery lasted for ever it seemed but it didn't of course, just didn't have the program i needed it for the app my work needs me to useThis is a fantastic buy. Easy to use and easily connects to my phone. Small, lightweight and fits in your hand perfectly. Absolutely love this scanner. It is a good device. Great barcode scanner overall.Would definitely recommend to others and would definitely purchase from them again in the future.I love that it gets the job done with an old cell phone I don’t use anymore. Such a cheap and great alternative compared to the usual $2000 systems. Especially when you are writing your own POS system. I wish more POS systems would go this route for POS systems.The scans enter key by key which is slower. The killer was the fact that the scan field was too wide. I had a barcode on top with a QR code beneath and almost every time it would usually scan the QR code. Other devices that I have do not have an issue scanning the bar code so it is definately this device.When scanning 2D codes, it sends each character of the code to the receiving device one keystroke at a time ... and slowly.I get sample just for testing purposes (to compare with another vendor same style device) but can't use at all because of faulty frame this device. I didn't made the scanning test. But still I see good and bad things of this device when comparing with alternatives:1plus for - it looks like expensive device :)1plus for - the buttons are solid and properly designed.1 BIG minus for - the hooks. They are too small to use at least with light cover.1 BIGGEST minus for - the Bottom hook. Device scrolls out from longer phone. Use Samsung s8+ and Xiaomi 9t. Then phone is long which goes to maximum - bottom hook metal is too thin, plastic itself has no bigger hook to hold the phone part . As result looks you can see in picture attachedPoor execution of what was a good idea. Great charger bank. Connects easily through Bluetooth. After it's connected though, it doesn't relay any information scanned to the phone, ipad, tablet or computer. Days wasted. Don't do it.
