Won't pair with the Bluetooth receiver. Cord is 3 feet, not the advertised 5 feet. It works as long as you put the bar code on the floor, next to the computer. Manual is not very informative. No website listed for helpIt took me a few minutes to figure it out. I plugged in the USB received and expected a dialogue box to pop up to let me know that a driver was being installed and that the system needed permission but nothing like that happened. I scanned the "one-click pairing" QR code in the instructions and just started randomly scanning barcodes to with MS Word open to see if anything would happen. At first, nothing did. Then the scanners light came on and the barcode appeared on the document. I tried it again in the software I had gotten the scanner for and it works! No more manually typing ISBNs for my library software! NOTE: my computer is a 2011 iMac running High Sierra (MacOS 10.13).I spent an hour going over and over the installation/setup and figured I was getting nowhere because there was no fanfare, or fireworks going off, not even a confirmation, driver installed screen. So, I kept at it. Checked Bluetooth, device manager etc. nothing showed up. So, here I am ready to spew my frustration in writing this review, and while writing it, I scanned the barcode on the side of the box it came in, and bingo, right in the Amazon review dialogue box I am typing into right now, up came the barcode number of the device. So, then I tried using it in MSFT Word. Bingo, success again. So, now all I need is a good barcode scanner software, or app, and I am in. Works great.My husband is a software developer and needed a bar code scanner for testing purposes that could scan US driver's licenses. This bar code reader can read that bar code, but that information is missing characters when it is sent back to the computer. He contacted the seller about this issue. The seller replied promptly, but in the end, they weren't able to do anything about this problem. As far as the actual bar code reader goes, it's a nice quality. It scans other bar codes without any difficulties. It's wireless and easy to use. It has a USB charger. The wireless feature can be used with Bluetooth or a keyboard dongle.
